How do I book lessons/hire equipment/purchase lift passes?
There is an online booking system linked to this website on the home page allowing you to book tuition. Click here for online booking form.
For equipment hire and lift passes, these can be arranged via the Glenshee Ski Centre here.
Are your instructors qualified?
All our instructors are fully qualified to teach in the discipline being taught. They also hold a valid First Aid Certificate.
What will I learn during my lesson?
Regardless of your ability, the lesson will be structured to suit yours. For group lessons, everyone in the group will be of a similar age and a similar ability level.

If I have a question regarding lessons, etc. who should I contact?
In the first instance, email bookings@skischoolglenshee.co.uk and the office team will respond with all the information requested.
What is the minimum age for children’s classes?
Skiing: 5 years old
Snowboarding: 8 years old
What are the group ratios in the lessons?
During busy periods group lessons can include up to a maximum of 12 participants but during the quieter periods, they can be much smaller.
Can I book a block of lessons or a course?
During holiday periods, 3/4/5 day blocks are available. If not listed on the online booking system, email bookings@skischoolglenshee.co.uk for further information.
What is the check-in procedure on the day of the lesson?
The start time of the lesson means ready to go with all equipment and lift passes purchased and collected. Weekends and holiday periods can be extremely busy. If collecting equipment hire and lift passes from the Ski Centre, please arrive at least 1 hour and 15 minutes before the start time of your lesson. On arrival at the Ski Centre, please check in with the Ski School office (opposite the main café with orange and black flags outside) first and we will look after you from there.
What happens if I miss the start time of my lesson?
If you miss the start time of your lesson you will not be able to join the lesson. We will endeavour to book you into another lesson but this will incur an extra charge.
Can we purchase the above items?
Yes. All the above items and more are available in the shop at the Glenshee Ski Centre which is located next to the Ski & Board School office.
Do children require helmets for lessons?
It is mandatory that all children under the age of 16yrs wear helmets whilst taking part in lessons. No helmet no lesson.

How do I book a car parking ticket?
Tickets can be purchased from the Glenshee Ski Centre here. Please note that parking is included in the cost of your lift pass.
What clothing should I wear on the day?
Thermal top, mid layer fleece, warm waterproof jacket, thermal bottoms, waterproof trousers, long thick socks that come up to the knees, gloves, neck buff, hat and goggles.

Do I need poles for skiing?
If you are a beginner, not all instructors want you to have poles but if you are a confident skier then yes to poles.
Do I need a lift pass for the lesson?
Yes. A Beginners’ Area lift pass is required and is not included in the cost of your tuition. No pass, no lesson.
Is there a cafe at the Ski Centre?
Yes, there are 3. The main café at the Base Station is always open, the other 2 are snow dependent.
Are there changing facilities?
Limited changing facilities are available at the Ski & Board School.
Are there safe lockers?
At the Ski & Board School we can look after bags etc. which are stored in the office but are not locked away.
What is the car parking arrangement?
Car Parking passes can be bought on line here from the Glenshee Ski Centre. They can be purchased on the day but easier to buy on line before you arrive.
Where will the beginners lessons take place?
On the low level slopes (Dink Dink/Rope Tow/Claybookie)
Is there a sledging area?
There isn’t a designated sledging area but there are several areas close to the main car park that are suitable for sledging.
Where do I meet my instructor?
At the Ski & Board School. Please do not try to meet you instructor on the slopes.
What happens when the lesson has finished?
The instructor will finish the lesson on the slopes. If the instructor has children and their parents are not there to collect them when the lesson finishes, the children will be escorted back to the Ski & Board School office.
If taking a 4hr lesson, what are the timings and routine for lunch?
Generally the lesson timings are 10am-12pm, lunch between 12pm-1pm and then the final lesson would be 1-3pm. Parents are responsible for their children at lunchtime.
