Snow Sports Tuition
- Glenshee Ski & Board School are & not deemed to be in a contract until payment has been made.
- Cancellations/Refunds: Cancellation by the customer of any booked lesson (s) can be accepted up to 7 days before the commencement of the booking. For multiple day bookings the 7 days will be applied to the first booking date of the booking. Refunds offered will be subject to a 10% charge of the total amount paid. Alternatively, tuition can be rescheduled to another date if preferred at no charge. Any rescheduled date must fall within the current season and cannot be transferred to the following season.
- Any cancellation made between 7 days and 72 hours of the start date/time is non-refundable however, you will be allowed to reschedule the booking. Any cancellation made within 72 hours of the start date/time will incur the full cost of the booking and the booking cannot be rescheduled.
- No refunds will be given if the customer is late and the start time of the lesson is missed. We will always endeavour to re-schedule if possible but this will incur extra charges.
- No refunds will be given in the event of the slopes being busy or if long lift queues prevail during the lessons.
- In the event of any booking having to be cancelled customers will be notified (where possible) 24hrs in advance of your booking start date and time. A full refund or the option to reschedule the booking to another date will be offered.
- Stormbound days: If advance payment has been made tuition can be re-scheduled. Refunds can be offered but will incur a £10 administration charge per booking.
- Road Closures: If the roads are closed for snow clearing early morning but re-open before mid-day (12 noon) the planned lessons will run at a later time that day. No refunds will be given but the option to reschedule the booking to another date will be offered.
- If the road remains closed all day or beyond midday (12 noon) the tuition can be rescheduled at no extra cost. Refunds can be offered but will incur a £10 administration charge per booking.
- Insurance: It must be acknowledged there is an inherent risk of accident or injury with Skiing and Snowboarding activities and there will be no liability for any loss, injury, accident or damage that may arise through normal participation in the Snow Sports activities. It is the responsibility of participating customers to ensure that they are adequately insured against any injury that may occur. All participants of tuition will be required to sign an insurance indemnity form prior to any tuition taking place.
- Behaviour: We reserve the right to exclude a customer from a lesson if their continued participation presents an unacceptable risk to themselves or other participants. No refunds will be given if this occurs.
- Clothing: We reserve the right to exclude a customer from a lesson if they are dressed inappropriately. We require all participants to dress appropriately for the conditions i.e. waterproof clothing, gloves, hats and eye wear protection if required.
- Helmets: It is compulsory for all individuals under the age of 16yrs attending tuition to wear helmets at all times. No helmet no lesson.
- Groups: Group lessons require 3 or more persons for any group lesson to run. Should group numbers fail to achieve more than the 3 participants customers will be contacted with alternative options.
- Vouchers: All purchased vouchers will be valid for 12 months from time of purchase. If the voucher has not been redeemed within the allocated 12 months the voucher can be extended by another 12 months at a cost of £25.
- Equipment Hire: If the client has a complaint regarding their hired equipment this should be directed to the hire company. Ski School staff are not authorised to make adjustments to ski and board bindings if they have been set incorrectly. Poorly fitted equipment or failure of equipment will not warrant a refund for any booked tuition.
- Complaints: Any disputes or complaints regarding the lift pass element or any issues regarding the ski slopes should be referred to the main lift pass office at Glenshee Ski Centre on the day or in writing afterwards to info@ski-glenshee.co.uk.
- If a customer is unhappy with the service provided regarding tuition, please advise the Ski and Board School main office as soon as possible and we will attempt to resolve the situation immediately.
